Browser Check

Most out-of-the-box settings in your browser will support Insight. But your setup may be different. Here's how to check:

 Is Javascript allowed on your browser?Please enable Javascript NOW - or the remaining tests may not work!!
Many Insight functions use Popup windows. Are Popups allowed in your browser?
  • Open this page to test. It will open in a new tab.

  • Here are instructions on enabling Pop-ups in most browsers.
  • For Safari (latest version): 
    • From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click
      Safari > Preferences; then select the Security tab.
    • Deselect:  Block pop-up windows
  • In earlier versions of Safari, popup options are on the main Safari menu
  • Sometimes add-on toolbars disable pop-ups: go here to find out about some of them.
The Java programming language has to be available and up-to-date in your browser.Mac users:

For OS versions below 10.7..."Apple supplies their own version of Java. Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Apple's Java for your Mac." - From the Java website.

 Enable Cookies
In Firefox: Look at the very top left of the browser window. If you don't see a Menu with the Tools button on it, tap the Alt key and the menu will appear.
  1. Click Tools
  2. Choose Options
  3. Click Privacy and then make sure that there is a check mark in the box beside Accept cookies from sites
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

In Google's Chrome

In Safari (for Mac)
  1. Open the Safari menu
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Choose Security
  4. Click Always in the "Accept Cookies" section
  5. Click OK to save your changes.
