English Eligibility  If you are a transfer student from a California community college, UC, or state university, take your transcript to the Matriculation Office, Conlan Hall 204 or call 239-3751.  Please review these instructions.

If you need courses evaluated from any out of state or private college, you will need to bring a copy of your official transcript (online transcripts not accepted), a course description from the college catalog, and syllabi (if possible). Some issues may require an interview to determine equivalency.

Contact the English Eligibility Coordinator: Dr. Paolo Sapienza, Batmale 514,
(415) 239-3574, Mailbox L192, FAX 415 452-5683, email: jsapienz@ccsf.edu

The English Eligibility Exam has been indefinitely suspended by the English Department while we pilot new forms of assessment and re-placement. Instead, consider taking or re-taking the English Placement Test (EPT); there are new rules for re-taking the EPT, so be sure to check whether you are eligible.
