Student Equity Plan 2014-2017

CCSF's latest Student Equity Plan was submitted January 1st, 2015, after a Fall 2014 semester full of activities involving all constituencies at the college: Six equity forums (at Ocean, Mission and Downtown); 39 google form comments; over 18 visits to the Academic Executive Council,  the Ocean Associated Students Council, Associated Student's Executive Council, the Classified Senate, the PGC, the Planning Committee and the Board of Trustees; over 20 meetings of four different workgroups (Ad-Hoc SEP Working Group, Access, Course/Basic Skills/ESL Completion and Degree/Certificate/Transfer Completion) and many more individual conversations.
On May 20th, the state chancellor's office provided feedback on the plan: It would be recommended as a model plan for other colleges, and we have important areas to improve, namely identifying clearer goals and more specific strategies for increasing the success of the target groups identified in our Disproportionate Impact Study. A revision is due November 20th, 2015 with a new, improved format clarifying the connections between goals, activities, outcomes, budget and evaluation.
The Educational Master Plan and the Mission of the College have helped to guide the development of the plan.
"...City College of San Francisco belongs to the community and continually strives to provide an accessible, affordable, and high quality education to all its students. The College is committed to providing an array of academic and student development services that support students’ success in attaining their academic, cultural, and civic achievements. To enhance student success and close equity achievement gaps, the college identifies and regularly assesses student learning outcomes to improve institutional effectiveness. As a part of its commitment to serve as a sustainable community resource, our CCSF mission statement drives institutional planning, decision making and resource allocation."
