The Computer Lab

The Computer Lab

Welcome back to everyone.  I hope this will be a terrific year. As everyone has been informed, the schedule has changed since the end of the 15-16 school year. Mr. Murphy and I are currently aligning the curriculum of each of our classes to reflect our new schedules. Please bear with us as we reconfigure our plans.

Additionally,  we are awaiting the spreadsheets with student Google account usernames and passwords. As soon as we receive the information we will pass that along to our students. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we begin another journey at Madison Meadows.

Acceptable Use Policy and Google Accounts

At the beginning of the year and again the past two weeks, we have been discussing the correct usage of the "Madisoned" student Google accounts and  the implications of violations of the Acceptable Use Policy. Since students no longer have intranet storage associated with their student logins, they must use their Google Drive to save any work (due to the fact that all information saved on the computer desktop is lost upon the shut down of the computer).

Even though the need to back up data has been stressed multiple times in each class since the first week of school, some students have still not saved their work and have continuously lost any work done in class. As a result the last two weeks of the quarter, the computer lab will be open in the morning (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) until 8:20 am and at lunch (students will have to ask for a pass in order to come in during lunch).
