Dear Parents,

My name is Mary Jo Igram.  It is my pleasure to be your child’s teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is my fifth year at Madison Academy but I have been a preschool teacher for ten years now.  I also taught second grade for two years at a private school.   I received my bachelor’s degree at U of M Flint and returned there in recent years to complete my early childhood endorsement.  My husband and I have two adult sons.

My goal this year is to give your child a very positive experience in school so that he/she will be off to a “Great Start.”   The following information is to help make your year go smoothly.

The only thing your child needs to bring to school is a backpack with a complete change of clothing (right down to the socks).  Please use the folder to communicate back and forth and please check your child’s backpack daily.  Also have them bring a pillow and blanket for rest time. On Thursday the blanket will be sent home for a wash and returned on Monday.

If you know your child will be absent, please give us a call (leave a message if I do not answer) or send me an email.

Thank you, Mrs. Igram
