The Indiana Department of Education's Office of eLearning awarded the Imagining and Creating Grant to 16 districts across the state of Indiana.  Among these 16 districts, four consortiums were formed around the topics of digital content, student-produced digital content, customized learning, and flexible scheduling.

Maconaquah School Corporation was honored to be awarded the Flexible Scheduling Grant along with  Attica Consolidated School Corporation, MSD of Wabash County, and Porter Township School Corporation.  Maconaquah participated in four scheduled eLearning Days as part of the IMAC Grant.   The idea behind flexible scheduling and the eLearning Days is that learning can and does take place 24/7 and is not dependent upon a school building operating at certain hours of the day.  Maconaquah successfully executed four scheduled eLearning Days through the 2013-14 school year in addition to four inclement weather (unplanned) eLearning days.  After we were granted permission from the IDOE to use eLearning for inclement weather, we communicated this information to our school patrons.  We learned some valuable lessons along the way and are eager to share those with you.  Take some time to explore this site and investigate the steps needed to make eLearning Days a reality at your district.
