Respondus is a stand-alone Windows application for creating, managing and transferring quizzes and exams to Blackboard. Quizzes or exams can be composed off-line in MS Word including embedded images, imported into Respondus and then transferred directly to your Blackboard course. Respondus supports up to 15 question types.
MacEwan University has a site license for Respondus so MacEwan faculty members and staff can feel free to install the application on as many office or personal computers as desired.
Since the Respondus license stipulates the application can only be available to MacEwan employees, a module has been created in Blackboard Learn from which faculty can download the application and access supporting documentation.
Log in to Blackboard Learn (https://learn.macewan.ca)
On the "My Blackboard" page, find the module labelled Supporting Applications and find Respondus in that module.
Click the "Click here to download Respondus" link.
If prompted, choose to save Respondus to your computer.
Find the Respondus.exe file you downloaded. Double-click the file to begin the installation process.
When prompted, use the "Respondus License Information" detailed in the Respondus section of the Supporting Applications module.
