To date, faculty have merged Blackboard courses have used the "Section Merge Tool" and that tool will continue to be available.
Blackboard support is now offering a new option called "Blackboard Admin Merging" to "re-merge" the course so that faculty can separate students by course section for easier grading in the Grade Center. In addition, with a little bit of work, and some Excel savvy, content can also be separated to students by course section.
Faculty merge their courses with the Section Merge Tool as usual.
Faculty then request a "Blackboard Admin Re-merge" using this request form.
Blackboard administrators will temporarily make the course unavailable to all users, re-merge the course and make it available again. Instructions on how to separate students by section will be provided.
