Kaltura Capture Desktop Recorder Installation

Downloading and Installing Kaltura Capture

1. Login to the MacEwan portal and navigate to Blackboard Learn.

2. In the left column find the module titled Kaltura Media and click My Media.

3. When you see you My Media page, click on the Add New button and select Kaltura Capture.

4. Read through the Copyright notice carefully and select I confirm. A new window will open with downloading instructions. If you have already installed Kaltura Capture before, you can skip to step 6.

4a. For Windows users:

• • Click Download for Windows to download the application.

    • Double click on KalturaCapture_NNN.msi file. The Kaltura Capture Setup screen is displayed.

    • Click Next on the Welcome Screen.

    • On the Installation Settings screen click Next.

    • (Optional) If you want to change the location of your stored recordings, enter the new location in the Recordings Folder field.

    • Click Next to begin the installation.Click “Finish” on the final screen to complete.

    • The Kaltura Capture Desktop Recorder software is installed.

4b. For Mac users:

• • • Click Download for Mac to download the application.

    • Click to download the .dmg file.

    • Double click the file to open it.

    • The following window is displayed.

• • • Drag the Kaltura Capture application icon to the applications folder.

5. Once the installation is completed, go back to the My Media area in Blackboard and click on Add New and select Kaltura Capture. Or double click on the Kaltura Capture icon on your desktop/in your Finder.

6. Now the recorder should appear.
