Teaching Online Express Virtual Workshop

Virtual workshop, 1 hr, registration required, for online instructors ONLY Even for the most seasoned instructors, teaching an online course can be quite different than teaching a face-to-face course. This workshop is designed for instructors who are experienced Blackboard Learn users, teach online, and have received a fully developed course from eLearning Design and Delivery. This workshop is not suitable for faculty who teach face-to-face, as it does not cover the uploading nor creation of course content.

Please note: this workshop is open to instructors teaching online only.

Learning Objectives:

This workshop will focus on the following topics:

• • Add your course outline/schedule.

  • Ensure all assignment and test options are configured appropriately.

  • Use the communication tools to welcome students and introduce yourself.

  • Organize your Grade Center, ensuring your Grade Center will calculate the final and letter grades accurately.

  • Customize the course to suit your teaching needs.

Please note, if you are new to Blackboard Learn, we highly recommend you attend the Blackboard Learn Essentials workshop prior to attending Teaching Online Express.
