Collector Car Appreciation Day

A wide range of automotive events are held on the second Friday in July to honor Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD). At the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN), this “holiday” has been marked each year since 2010. It recognizes that the collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of North America. As this annual event continues to grow worldwide, states, provinces, counties and cities are following suit with their own recognition. The SAN encourages participation throughout the month of July to honor the classics of the past and the future.

The Manitoba Association of Auto Clubs (MAAC) along with the many member Speciality Vehicle Clubs in Manitoba was pleased to host the 7th Annual Collector Car Appreciation Day on Friday, July 14th. The event ran from 6pm to 9pm at the Memorial Park/Legislative Grounds. Opening ceremonies commenced at 7:00pm.

We welcomed back Manitoba Public Insurance and Piston Ring as our sponsors of the day.

Once again, this gathering of vintage, classic, and special interest vehicles of all years joined together to celebrate the history, culture and heritage of the Automobile.  Manitoba has taken the lead and is one of a few Canadian Provinces that take part in this celebration.
