Monday: Quiz tomorrow on DOP.  Begin with bell ringer at translate 5 sentences using DOP.  Then credit worksheet 36-37 on IOP and review. Practice with IOP using , dar, mandar, pedir, regalar. Monday: Teach present tense "ar" "er" and "ir" and present tense of stem change verbs.  Finish speaking quizzes, turn in packet pages 1-13, and 18,  Native Speakers to turn in work assigned Friday from EPN (Costumbres que Cambian: 120:1,2 and A)  Conversation with packet page 18:2  NS 21:4.  HOmework packet 20-21.

Week 1: Grammar/conversation from Leccion Preliminar, pages 1-29 (el uso de ser, describir al la gente, el uso de gustar, ir, estar, ser/estar, regular present tense verbs, stem change verbs) Homework: Stem change verbs worksheet, present tense verbs, ser/estar, gustar worksheet.   Key Conversation Questions: Quien es/Quienes son? Como es/Como son? Que te gusta hacer, Que les gusta? Adonde vas/van? Como estas/como estan? Que haces tu? Que hacen ellos?  Be sure all non-native Speakers can access Duolingo (https://www.duolingo.com/o/ymbhyg)

Monday: Pass Out Text Books and workbooks.  Expectations, for this class this year, 1 subject notebook for Spanish 2, weighted grading, conversation (25%).  Speaking quiz on Fridayday. Weekly Independent work: DuoLingo [20 lessons] at  https://www.duolingo.com/o/ymbhyg or Silent Reading [30 pages and Cornell note for each chapter]) Independent work due end of day Friday.  Review the grammar, Native Speakers to write prompt # 1 from list below, then look for independent reading book. (Sign it out and grab a blank Cornell Note.) Homework packet pages 1,2   Native Speakers writing prompt 1.

Tuesday:   Turn in pages 1,2. Conversation practice with partner: basic greetings and use of "ser" to describe people (qualities page 29) (Pages 2-7) Native Speakers to select a reading book and begin writing prompt 1 (due tomorrow) Non-Native to Review noun/adjective agreement and verb tener. Then, independent silent reading and Duolingo work. Homework Non-native packet pages 4

Wednesday: Turn in prompt # 1. Review noun/adjective agreement, Review Verb "Gustar" and conversation practice with partner using attachement below and textbook pages 12-13: excercizes 9, 10, and 11. Independent work [Native Speakers write a prompt  from numbers 2-5 (choose 1) or silent reading, and non-native Duolingo.  Homework: native speakers to finish the second prompt of the week and independent reading (remember Cornell note due on first chapter for Friday) and non-native in packet pages 5,6,7.

Thursday: Ser vs Estar, then "Estar" with emotions ( Conversation practice with partner-textbook pages 17-18). Review packet homework with non-native.  Speak quiz tomorrow on greetings (texbook pages 2-3), and "gustar" (10-13).  You and your partner are responsible to prep for quiz tomorrow.  Non native packet pages 11, 18.

Friday: Speak quiz with partner, independent work (Duolingo, Espanol Para Nosotros pages 116-119 - Questions page 120:1,2 and page 121:a )  Remember: two prompts total are due today.  For non-native speakers, you should complete the packet up to page 13, and complete 3-5 Duolingo lessons.

Monday: Exam tomorrow over ch. 5.  REview double object pronouns, "ustedes" and "tu" commands.  Then, Learn vocabulary ch. 6.2.  Homework vocabulary A and B at 269-270.

Tuesday: Exam, then texbook practice pages 336-337.

Wednesday: Review homework, then teach present subjunctive with "Ojala que"  URB worksheet as homework.

Thursday: REview vocabulary homework pages 13-14 (URB worksheet) and review workbook pages 269-271.  Then watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoZ6yocnSD0 , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT5_P6M1Mb8, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3UacG8009k  and take notes on phone conversations.  For tomorrow write an informal telephone conversation of 100-150 words, in Spanish.  See vocab. from ch. 6.2 and also from these two videos.

Friday: Reminder that for Monday you should complete a 100-150 word phone conversation based on the videos from yesterday.  For today, Watch “Extra” en Espanol, episode 8 and write a Cornell Note.  See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlvX0GHxnH0 .  Your Cornell note should include 5 new vocabulary words, the major details of the plot for this episode, and a brief summary of the episode.  Worth 10 homework points.

Review of vocabuary with telehistoira completa. Comprehension at 282:4, 287:10, and 292:17-18.

Tuesday: Quiz,Review homework Grammar 2 A,B,C.  Practice double object pronoun usage with color coded sentence strips.  Then chapter 5 review.  Exam Friday. HOmework ch. 5.2 review textbook pages 298-299:2,3,4.

Wednesday: (Girls Softball Game) Learn vocabulary ch. 6.2. Homework vocabulary A and B at 269-270.

Thursday: Review ch. 5.2 .  Listen to and do "Listen and Understand", page 298:1 (Attached below).  Then do textbook pages 274-275: 1, 2, 3, and 4.  (Do excercizes 1 and 4 with "tu" commands instead of "Usted " commands.  Audio attached below, also pages 274-275 attached below.

Friday: Exam next Tuesday. Learn vocabulary ch. 6.2. URB worksheet attached below. Homework vocabulary A and B at 269-270.

Monday: Review for exam. Practice vocabulary with BINGO, texbook practice pages 336-337. Then teach present subjunctive with "Ojala que" . URB worksheet as homework.
