2019 College Trip

Departing Thursday day May 2nd- Returning Friday May 3rd

 

Thursday May 2nd

  • 10:00 am LVHS students depart for Bridgeport
  • 10:45 am LVHS and Bridgeport students depart for CHS
  • 11:45 am All students depart for lunch at park
  • 12:45-1:30 pm-Lunch at John Mankins Park. Sandwiches from Port of Subs
  • 2:00-3:00 pm Tour of WNC
  • 4:00-5:00 pm Tour of UNR
  • 5:30 pm Dinner at Johnny Rockets at the GSR
  • 7:00-9:00 pm Bowling at GSR 2500 E 2nd St, Reno, NV, 89595
  • 9:15 pm Depart for hotel- Holiday Inn Express 2375 Market Street NV 89502 775-229-7070
  • 9:30 pm Locked down for the night in rooms

 

Friday May 3rd

  • 8:00 am Breakfast at hotel
  • 8:45 am Depart for SNC
  • 10:00-11:30 am Tour of SNC
  • 12:45-1:45 pm Lunch @ Chicago Mikes Pizza
  • 2:45 pm arrive at CHS
  • 3:45 pm arrive at Bridgeport
  • 4:30 pm arrive at LVHS

Parents will be called with an ETA if not on schedule

 

What to bring:

  • -Comfortable shoes! We will be walking quite a bit on our tours.
  • -Water bottle
  • - Sun block, hat, sunglasses, jacket, beanie
  • - Dress code appropriate clothing. Clothing for all weather
  • -Spending money is not necessary but is optional to buy extra snacks and souvenirs
  • -A sleeping bag if you do not want to share a bed
  • -Toiletries
  • -Prescription medication: This will need to be labeled and given to a chaperone at the beginning of the trip. It will need to be administered by an adult.

What not to bring:

  • -Anything you are not allowed to bring to school, i.e. pocket knives, illegal substances, etc.

Expectations:

  • -Stay with group at all locations
  • -Respect dress code
  • -Respect school rules
  • -Represent ESUSD well in public
  • -Boys and girls may not enter each other’s rooms
  • -No exiting rooms during curfew

If students do not comply with these expectations, parents will be called to pick them up and they may face suspension. However, we are fortunate to have a great group of students and we are confident they will all have a great trip!
