Chevrolet Sonic Marketing Challenge: $5k top prize. Deadline 9/23/11

EdVenture Partners is proudly hosting the Chevrolet Sonic Marketing Challenge for teams of five or less undergraduate students this Fall 2011 term.  The top three teams will be invited to present their ideas to client executives in Detroit, Michigan.  The first place team will win $5,000; second place will receive $3,000; third will be awarded $1,000.  

Registration is now open for faculty and students at  You must register by this Friday, September 23, 2011 with the password "sonic" to participate.  The full case and judging scorecard are available to registered faculty and students on the Web site.

Participating teams will design an integrated marketing communications (IMC) plan that effectively increases awareness for the Chevrolet Sonic utilizing events, digital promotion and social media tactics. IMC plans for the competition should include the following:

  • SWOT and research analysis  
  • Target market profiling
  • Primary research  
  • Communication strategy 
  • Events, digital promotion and social media tactics including creative samples 
  • Cost analysis 
  • Measurement standards and evaluation metrics
