Welcome to your Spanish class for the 2013-2014 school year! My name is Señorita Katz and I will be your Spanish teacher this year. After 6 years teaching at the middle school, I am now beginning my first year at Lawrence High School. I am very excited for this new opportunity and looking forward to seeing many familiar faces in my Spanish classroom once again. For those of you whom I have not yet had the pleasure of teaching, I am eager to get to know more about you. You all have something to contribute to our class so please don’t forget how valuable each and every one of you is.
Prepare yourselves for an amazing journey throughout the Spanish-speaking world, as we explore the intricacies and wonders of the Spanish culture, increase our knowledge of the mechanics of the Spanish language, and build our skills in the communication domains of speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing.
Make sure to check the calendario daily to keep track of your homework. Visit your class Edmodo group regularly for specific assignment information and important and helpful resources. Remember, your grades are YOUR responsibility! I will help to provide you with the necessary tools to be successful in this class, but in the end, it’s all up you!
