Hello,

We are competing at the state level in FLL-Robotics competition.  The event is on March 8th.  I am particularly proud of the progress we have made on the research project of this competition.  We have produced a 4 minute movie trailer summarizing the project.  I would really like you to take a look at it.  It is best when listened with audio effect.

I particularly enjoyed producing this video using iMovie and putting the team’s work together.

FIT (Florida) sent me a differtent kind of college education opportunity... Re:       Construction Management – Florida Institute of Technology

Our Construction Management Program was developed in response to direct input from practicing construction professionals and provides a combination of engineering and business skills for students interested in the management of construction or land development projects.  The curriculum prepares our students to enter the workplace for both vertical (buildings) and horizontal (highway and civil) construction with sought-after technical, managerial and communication skills. In addition to classroom training, students will experience “hands-on” technical training during numerous field trips and focused summer internships. Our program is designed to graduate a skilled Construction Manager who is ready to go to work immediately upon graduation, with a minimum of additional on-the-job training.

Florida Tech is among the nation’s top technological institutes in the Fiske Guide to Colleges and we were recently named “Tier 1 Best National University” by the U.S. News & World Report.   Our classes are small, providing lots of interaction and mentoring by our faculty. And our location is also great!  We are close to the Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World and countless high tech industries.  With an average temperature of 72 degrees, there is no “construction season” and our industries are active year-round for student jobs, internships and industry participation in our courses.

Please take a moment to look over the attached  flyer which explains our program and course structure in detail or check out our web page at:  www.coe.fit.edu/construction for additional information on courses, student activities and faculty.  You can also follow us on Facebook by searching FIT Construction.  If you would like to visit our campus, please check out this webpage - http://www.fit.edu/ugrad/visit/.   Our flyer would be excellent to share with students on Career Day, College Fairs or to share with other faculty members.

Afterwards, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me using the contact information below, or Christine Chura, our Administrative Assistant, at cchura@fit.edu or 321-674-8252.
