Meet The Coaching Staff

Head Coach:  Rocky Wolverton

Coach Wolverton is honored to be entering his second year coaching girls basketball at Summit Lakes.  Prior to joining the Falcons, Coach Wolverton spent his basketball coaching career at North Kansas City High School, LSNHS and Campbell Middle School.  Coach Wolverton is currently teaching 7th Grade Health at SLMS and coaching football at LSW.

Coach Wolverton attended the University of Missouri, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in 1995.  In 2006, he received a Master’s degree from Webster University, and in 2013, he earned a Specialists’ degree in Secondary Administration from William Woods University.

Coach Wolverton is super excited to share this experience with his wife of 14 years, Julie, and their 3 future Falcons, Drew (13), Connor (10) and Brooks (7).

Assistant Coach:  Julie Carver

Coach Carver is in her third year teaching at Summit Lakes and her fourth year in the LSR7 district.  She is the head volleyball coach at Lee's Summit High School.  Prior to coming to Lee's Summit she was Head Volleyball Coach and Elementary PE teacher in Rolla, MO.  Coach Carver teaches girls Physical Education at Summit Lakes.  

Coach Carver attended Graceland University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in 1987. She was a three sport athlete while at Graceland competing in volleyball, basketball and softball.  She was named Academic All American in volleyball and scored her 1,000th point in basketball her senior year.  In 2006 she finished her Master's degree at University of Central Missouri.  

She has coaching experience in volleyball, softball, track and basketball.  While at Holden she won state championships in 1998 and 2003 in volleyball as the head coach.  She is looking forward to getting back into coaching basketball and working with the athletes at Summit Lakes.
