About the Teacher

Hi!  My name is Missy VanDeusen and I teach Living Skills and Discovering FCS.  I'm on team 8 Falcon.  This is my second  year teaching at Summit Lakes and I am so excited to be a part of the Falcon family!

I grew up in the Lee's Summit area so this end of town is home to me.  I attended the University of Central Missouri where I earned my Bachelors degree in Vocational Home Economics.  The first 18 years of my career were spent teaching Child Development classes at Raytown High School.  While in Raytown I coached  Cheerleading, Cross Country and Track.  I earned my Masters degree from Webster University in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2000.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and little boy.  We enjoy being outside, going out on the lake, cheering on the Royals and hanging out with friends and family.  I love photography and scrapbooking so I have fun documenting all of our adventures.

I can be reached at missy.vandeusen@lsr7.net if you have any questions.  I'm so excited about this school year!  Go Falcons!!
