Megan is a Library Media Specialist at Lee’s Summit West High School. She earned her Master of Library Information Science from the University of Central Missouri and is a former social studies teacher. Her career focus has been on combining the elements of research, technology, and project based learning. She is active in the library community and sits on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Association of School Librarians as the current Governance chair. She is also an active member of the Greater Kansas City Association of School Librarians. Megan is a certified Google Educator and was named a METC Spotlight Educator in 2014, received the MASL Bright Idea Award in 2015, the Greater Kansas City Outstanding Media Center Program Award in 2010, and the MASL Progressive School Library Media Program Award in 2009. She and her co-librarian have presented many times at both national and state conferences and have received numerous grants for their library and students.
