About Me
I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Go Packers!
I hold a BM in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and a MM in vocal performance from Louisiana State University.
I married Dr. Al Benner in 1990, and we have two sons.

LISA BENNER has been a guest soloist with La Musique Ancienne, the Wisconsin and Louisiana Composers’ Consortiums, the Society of Composers, Inc., the New Music Festival at Nicholls State University, and at various churches in Baton Rouge and Green Bay, WI.  Locally she is a frequent soloist and substitute choir director at the First United Methodist Church.  She has also performed both as soloist and member with many professional choirs, including the LSU Opera, The Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus, the Green Bay Chamber Choir, and Red River Choral.  She was the director of the University United Methodist Church choir in Baton Rouge, and the assistant choir director for the Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus.  She has taught voice at Louisiana State University and St. Norbert College, where she also directed the Women’s Choir.  She is the current Chairperson for the LMEA Vocal Solo/Small Ensemble Assessment.
