Photography 2 Syllabus & Curriculum
This is a comprehensive course that includes instruction in the areas of digital photography and graphic design. Knowledge gained in Photography I will be expanded on in this course as we explore areas of individual interests and abilities. At all levels the use of computers will be utilized in the use of software filters and effects tools. Projects will be assigned and work will be required outside of class. 

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Photography I.


Photography 2 is broken down into four units that are covered through lessons and numerous projects and activities.

Projects and Content

Photo Hunt
After learning how to safely operate a DSLR camera and control basic settings, students are assessed by completing a Photo Hunt where they are required to shoot an array of shots individually

Double Exposure/Color Channels Portrait
Create a Double Exposure utilizing the proper software and portrait format.

Multiple Exposures/Impressionistic & Swirl Tutorials
Take a photo of something very graphic and put it within a new document, resize and include either two or four images to create a mirror image effect.

Panorama and David Hockney Inspired Collage

FLOAT Challenge
Create a unique work of art using the theme of "float" as originated by Salvador Dali.  You will look at galleries here and here for inspiration.
Have your shutter speed set at shutter priority of 1/750th of a second or faster and the ISO at 400. Be creative! WOW me!
