SUMMER READING FOR ENGLISH CLASSES
(except Technical Writing and Business English)
Summer Reading with assignments is required for all English classes EXCEPT Technical Writing and Business English.  Please download/view the document below for specifics.  Then, scan the QR code that applies to your upcoming English course.  Those students who do not currently have an LPSS Google account may still scan the appropriate QR code.  The Summer Reader Coordinator will be able to grant access to those who don't currently have an LPSS Google account.

STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Incoming Freshmen
Orientation for Incoming 9th Graders will be held on Wednesday, July 31 from 8:00 - 10:00 AM.

Seniors
12th grade August 1 7-8am

Juniors
11th grade August 1 8:30-9:30am

Sophomores
10th grade August 1 10-11:00am

If you are unable to scan the QR code, links to text versions of the assignments are posted below.  This way, you will know which book (or books) to read over the summer. Students please note, you will need to use your LPSS Google account at some point for the assignment, which is due Aug 30; school starts Aug 15.  If you don't have a Google account now you can get one the first day of school, then complete the written assignment.

Summer Reading for English III AP

The Summer Reading for students who will be in English III AP must be accessed through your Google account.  If you are having difficulties doing that, please e-mail the Summer Reading coordinator, Mrs. Ellen Bayless, at ecbayless@lpssonline.com. NOTE: There is no English III "Honors."

Text versions of Summer Reading assignments for Senior English (English IV Regular, English IV AP, and Dual Enrollment) will be posted as soon as possible.  Please check back.
