About the Teacher:

Nana visited our class for Grandparent's Week and read a story!

I was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from ULL in Early Childhood Education in December 2013. I feel beyond grateful to have already have found a place I love working and a grade I adore working with.  I taught 3rd grade my first year of teaching, but when my principal asked me to move to kindergarten the following year, I was thrilled! I knew that it would be a perfect age level for me.  I love teaching through singing, dancing, creating, and having fun with my students.  It’s a wonderful feeling to have a job you look forward to doing every day.

When I’m not working, I love being outdoors, riding my bike, or spending time with my family, my friends, and my dog, Bert! I also enjoy rock climbing from time to time at an indoor rock climbing gym or practicing yoga.  My major goal right now is to become fluent in Spanish, so I try to spend a lot of my free time studying and practicing however I can- and traveling abroad whenever I have time off!  I love meeting new people, learning through exploring, and experiencing new things.

I hope to encourage my students to stay curious and inspire a love of learning in them.  I aim to help them every way I can and bring out the leader in each student. I want them to succeed and be the best student they can be.

I am looking forward to helping your child learn and grow this year!
