NEW! IMPORTANT MEET & GREET INFORMATION

Milton Elementary/Middle School welcomes you to the 2017-2018 School Year!  We are busy preparing the school for the upcoming year!  Due to the new construction, there will be a few visible changes to the school property next year.  We are excited about our growth and look forward to what is to come in our new building.  Please pardon our construction and progress. Your patience with this process is greatly appreciated.

When is Meet & Greet?

July 31st, 2017

1st & 2nd Grades – 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.

3rd & 4th Grades – 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

5th Grade – 1:00– 2:00 p.m.

6th – 8th Grades– 3:00– 5:00 p.m.  Parents/students  may come in at any time between 3:00 and 5:00.

*Kindergarten and PreK students have a separate orientation after school has started, once all kindergartners are registered and tested and placed into homeroom classes.

What to Expect?

All visitors (parents & students) will report directly to the gym upon arrival.  Here, staff will verify residency and then provide the parents with the name of their homeroom teacher and/or a student schedule. Schedules will only be issued AFTER proof of residency is verified.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

During the Middle School Meet and Greet, stations will be set up throughout the AIR CONDITIONED gym. Parents & students will rotate through the stations to pay fees and meet their teachers.

During the Elementary Meet and Greet, after verifying proof of residency in the gym, students will report to their teacher’s classroom to drop off school supplies and pay class fees.

Paying class fees at Meet and Greet, expedites procedures during our first days of school with our students. We appreciate these tasks being completed before our students arrive, ensuring we can maximize our time with them during the first day of school!

What do we bring?

1.  Copy of one of the following proof of residency: current gas bill, electricity bill, water bill, or notarized statement of residence. **BRING ONE COPY PER CHILD ENROLLED** (3 children = 3 copies). These copies will be kept for school records.

2.  ELEMENTARY: Students can bring school supplies & class fees as outlined on our school supply lists.

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Students will pay class fees and receive their schedule. Middle school students will bring school supplies on the first day of school.  As a reminder, each class fee (ELA/Math/Science/Social Studies/PE/Elective is paid seperately.
