Welcome to Carencro High School's Academy of Information Technology. AOIT prides itself on 13 years of excellence and proving to live out the mission statement of "preparing students for life." The Academy of Information Technology is affiliated with the National Academy Foundation. We are one of many themed academies across Lafayette Parish but the only NAF Information Technology Academy in the state of Louisiana.

  • Thank you Internship Providers! This year's AOIT senior class started their internships on May 30th. This opportunity was made possible by a group of dedicated businesses and sponsors. Each student will have a unique experience. This experience is based on workforce readiness and soft-skill development. Upon the completion of the 180-hour experience, these seniors will have gained a real-world experience thus, making a connection between the classroom and the workforce.

  • 2017 Louisiana Technology Challenge Runner up!! Congratulations! Congratulations to Carencro High School  Academy of Information Technology Tech Challenge team which placed 2nd in state in the Louisiana Technology Challenge (hosted by University of Louisiana at Monroe).  In 4 years of competition, AOIT has been the state runner-up 3 times and state champion once.

  • Congratulations! Grant winners!! Congratulations to AOIT! Carencro AOIT received 114 tablets from JP Morgan Chase. Carencro High had the opportunity to visit with NAF representative Dr. Marcy Aycock. On behalf of NAF and JP Morgan Chase, the 114 tablets were "unboxed" and presented to the students of Carencro High's Academy of Information Technology. Dr. Aycock presented the tablets to the students via Google Hangout. The students will begin their projects this week. The College and Career project is a collaboration between all 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade academy students. See the full story from KATC here!!
