Fuel Up to Play 60 Grant Award 2016-2017

Primary School was awarded its 3rd Fuel Up to Play 60 Grant
 sponsored by the New England Dairy Council.  Our $1808 awar
d was used to purchase food samples for Curriculum Night Taste Testing of Breakfast and Lunch Program menu items to promote our programs to students and families, as well as 2 new stainless steel utility carts and colorful serving trays for cafeteria use (as well as to serve as Breakfast Carts).  Funds were also used to help purchase  nutrient-rich Lunch Program menu items at the free Chicken Sandwich Dinner for families at our Summer Reading Kickoff Night!  The other half of the funds were used to purchase physical fitness activity equipment for PE and Music classes for Music and Movement lessons to help break down barriers to fitness and help all students, with and without disabilities, be included and feel motivated to participate in fitness activities.  Exercise balls, buckets and stick sets to be used of for drumming, rhythm sets, ribbon wands, and other musical equipment will be purchased.
