We Support Our Friends

These were our activities for the month of October, National Bullying Prevention Month:
  • October 02 - Anti-Bullying Awareness Week
  • October 09 - Make a New Friend Week
  • October 16 - Show Kindness Week
  • October 23 - Celebrate Diversity Week
We prepared for National Bullying Prevention and awareness month by asking students to come up with ideas to spread kindness and respect. They wrote their ideas on sticky notes and posted them on the STOMP Out Bullying board in the cafeteria. Here are some words of wisdom:

Kale them with kindness. (This message had a drawing of a kale chip.)Think before you say, and don't always say what you think. When you are asked to do something by a teacher, do it the first time.If someone is being mean, stand up for yourself and others.
Say hi to. someone new.Just wave. Use your brain!Don't be a bully.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.Share a smile. (This message had a smiley face.)Don't use your phone at school.Tell everyone you talk to something kind.
Be kind to everyone even if you don't like them.Treat others the way you want to be treated. If someone drops something, pick it up.Spread smiles around the school.
Hold the door for others. At lunch sit with someone who looks lonely.Help others with stuff.Enjoy your life.
