Here is more information on the SSL errors when trying to access iPass.
We hope to have these resolved soon.
I apologise for unreliability of iPass over the past week. I understand that teachers, parents and students have been trying to prepare for the beginning of the school year, and this outage came at a bad time.
In the middle of a network upgrade an important piece of networking equipment began to fail (this is why we do them over the summer). Because of the upgrade that was in progress, it took us some time to diagnose what the overarching problem was. This issue caused extremely slow internet speeds from within the buildings, and iPass/iStudent/iParent to be unavailable to the outside world. This was a much more complex situation than I am describing to you and Paul Miller did an exceptional job at diagnosing and remedying the situation as quickly as possible as Sue Kelley worked with iPass to get reports working again. There may be brief outages over the next few days as we have to restart our network upgrade, but nothing like what we have experienced over the last few days. We will attempt to minimize the impact on you all. Our goal is to have our upgrades complete by the time schools release schedules early next week.
Please continue to use the links on the district webpage to access iPass/iParent/iStudent.
IMPORTANT:You may receive an error if you are using Chrome or Firefox, but there will be a button that says Advanced or Continue (Unsafe). Click on these to continue to iPass. We hope to have these errors resolved quickly.
Thank you for your understanding.
Over the past year we have maintained two different pages, the Schoolfusion page and the EdTech Google site. We have combined all the information from both locations here and we hope you find it useful.
All of the content on the site is still the same, we have simply updated the design and layout to allow for future expansion. If you are looking for the High School Calender and Signout Form, they are under the HS Signout menu.
The EdTech staff has launched a new website powered by Google Sites. EdTech@Leicester will provide a central location for training and resources for the use of technology in the classroom.
