54 semester credits in science
includes biology, geology, microbiology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, human anatomy & physiology.
The State of Colorado requires a minimum of 24 credits in a subject area for certification.
and 90 post-graduate hours through the Colorado School of Mines Teacher Enhancement program and other universities on topics such as wildfire science, materials science, oil & gas industry, mining industry, nature journaling, Corvids (crows, ravens, and jays), equestrian riding in wilderness areas, radiation, watershed management, and more.
