HIGHLAND HOTSHOTS is the Before and After School Program at Highland Elementary School. 
The Program is licensed with the State of Colorado Department of Human Services. 
Activities include Recreational Games, Team Sports, Arts & Crafts, Homework Assistance, Table games, Computers, Group Activities, Guest Speakers, Field Trips and much more! 
Staff to Student ratio is 1:15 or better.

HOURS:

The Before & After Program is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 8:50 a.m., with a supervised recess before the start of school, and again from 3:49 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

PLC Wednesdays:  Hotshots is open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. with a supervised recess before the start of school.  Regularly scheduled  a.m. families will not pay extra for the PLC hour.

On scheduled early dismissal afternoons, we are open from the release of school until 6 p.m.

In-Service day hours are 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Our Summer Program operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

Summer closures are listed in summer paperwork and change each year based on calendar.

In the event that school closes mid-day due to inclement weather or an emergency, Hotshots will also close at release time.  Children not picked up will be asked to wait for parents in the main office.  Please talk with your child and have a plan in place in the event of an emergency or weather related closure, children will not be signed into Hotshots.

The Hotshots Program follows the district calendar for holiday closures and breaks; childcare is not available on these days. 

All LPS SACC programs will be closed Monday, January 8th, 2018, for mandatory staff training. This is an in-service/non-student day.  Please plan accordingly.



COSTS:

Effective August 2017:

There will be an annual $25.00 registration fee per family for the before & after program and a $35 per family fee for the summer program.

Daily fees are per child per day.

We will no longer offer the 10% family discount beginning on August 17, 2017.

REGISTRATION:

Highland Hotshots is open to school age children beginning in kindergarten and continuing through the summer of the fifth grade year. 
 
To register your child or children into the program, please contact the manager for  information and availability. There is an annual, non-refundable, $25.00 registration fee per family for enrollment into the before & after program.  Summer program registration is $35 per family.   

Hotshots is currently full for the summer 2017 program.

Hotshots will operate out of the Whitman/Options facility at 6557 S. Acoma Street, Littleton, for the summer of 2017.

Registration for Fall 2017 will open in June.  Please email or call to receive registration materials.  Your child must be registered by Thursday, August 10th, 2017, to attend Hotshots on August 17th and 18th. Registrations received during the week of August 14th will be eligible for care beginning, Monday, August 21st.

Snacks:
A snack is offered each afternoon during the school year.  A morning and afternoon snack is offered each day during the summer program.  We will no longer provide a morning snack on PLC late starts.
