Teacher Biography

I'm excited that you are visiting my web page! My name is Stephanie Peterson and I am a native of Valdosta.
I have worked with children since I was a teenager and I have a very fun, flexible, hands on approach to teaching. My classroom comes alive with animals, artifacts, and stories to help kids remember concepts. If I start getting bored, the classroom gets more and more unusual (and interesting!)
A little about me: I'm a graduate of Lowndes High School and Valdosta State University. I earned a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, a Masters in Special Education, and a Specialist Degree in Education Leadership. I have been teaching in Lowndes County for the past 21 years!
I know your child will make many great memories in 2nd grade and will also master the curriculum! My students always perform well on the end of year tests (so don't get too nervous if you think they can't possibly be learning if they are having "all that fun"!) Your child's success=my success. I promise I will take excellent care of your child and make school a positive experience for all of us. Come help out when you have a spare moment. I look forward to working with you and I am always available to meet or talk about any issue or concern.

You may contact me at any time by email at stephaniepeterson@lowndes.k12.ga.us or through our school phone 229-245-2289.
