I am certified to teach grades PK-8th grade but I have always taught 3rd or 4th grade and love it. My passion is to create a love and deep understanding of Math and all things STEAM. I was the 2016 Lowndes Co. Teacher of the Year and a 2017 Georgia TOTY finalist. It is true when they say that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life! I truly love to teach and I love my students!

Your student may also access my google classroom at home, they have already joined:) There will be daily posting of assignments, study guides and test updates. First they will log into Google Chrome using their email address: UN:2032firstnamelastname@student.lowndes.k12.ga.us

My name is Sara Whitman and I'm excited to begin the 2023-2024 school year. This is my 17th year of teaching and my 12th year with Lowndes County Schools. I'm a graduate of Florida State University and am certified to teach K-8th grades. I have lived with my family in Valdosta for 19 years. My daughter Emmaline practices law in Alpharetta, GA and my son Phillip is a Junior at UGA. I'm so excited to meet you!
