Welcome to Mrs. Eason's
Hello Discovery students and families! My name is Mrs. Eason and I am so excited that your child is a part of my Discovery classroom this school year! We are going to have a fabulous year full of tons of learning and fun!
Well, a little bit more about me!!! This is my fifth year at Lake Park Elementary School and my first year as the Discovery teacher. Besides teaching, I also have over 15 years experience working with kids from coaching both high school and middle school basketball and volleyball. I am also the head coach for the Girls on the Run program, BETA coordinator, and Yearbook coordinator here at Lake Park Elementary.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, where I also played 4 years of collegiate basketball. Go Cavaliers! I also, received my Masters in Teaching from Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, Georgia.
I am originally from St. Paul, Oregon a very small farming and rodeo town in Oregon, but have called South Georgia my home for the past 15 years. I also, have three amazing children. They are Hayden, Cadence, and Walker. When I am not busy teaching and with my sweet students, I love spending time with my family or friends. I also, love to paint and create and stay very active with my church family at CrossPointe Church in Valdosta.
Here are just a few more of Mrs. Eason's favorite things; coffee, chocolate, basketball, Mexican food, painting, drawing, creating, watching movies, Oregon Ducks, spending time with my family, Crossfit, and anything outdoors!!! I am so excited about this new school year and can't wait to get to know all my sweet kids and their families!!

Girls on the Run of LPE is an after-school running program for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls. The LPE GOTR meets in the fall beginning in August and last 10 weeks. We meet on Monday and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm. Our certified coaches help teach life skills through dynamic and interactive lessons and running games.
Running is used to inspire and motivated girls, encourage lifelong health and fitness, and build confidence through accomplishment. At the end of our season, our girl's and their running buddies complete a 5K race. The result for our GOTR girl's-making the seemingly impossible, possible, and teaching girls that they can!!
