Mrs. Arnold's P.E. Page

Welcome to P.E.! My name is Gina Arnold. This is my 15th year in education. I spent 8 years as a regular classroom teacher. This is my 7th year in P.E. I have spent most of my career in the Lowndes County School System. I studied Physical Education at Georgia State College and University in Milledgeville Ga. I also have a Master's and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Troy State University and Nova Southeastern University. My goal is that all students gain a desire to be lifelong participants in physical activity. Through P.E., I try to instill a sense of self-worth and accomplishment for each student. Many life lessons can be learned in P.E. Students learn to get along, take turns, try new things, and understand the concept of teamwork.

I am married to John Arnold. He is a Math teacher and Coach at Lowndes County High School. We have two beautiful daughters, Kirbi and Kerri Ann.

Jump Rope for Heart

Westside Elementary students raised over $16,000 for the American Heart Association by participating in Jump Rope for Heart. Students learned the importance of regular exercise and proper nutrition for heart health. Thank you to all students and parents who helped support this great cause!

Box Tops for Education

A HUGE thank you to all who send in box tops! We have raised over $1,400 this year for new Physical Education Equipment! We were able to purchase 18 Qwiknetz and 22 volleyballs! Please don't forget to clip those box tops over the summer!
