Grading Policy

  • Weekly grades will be given to students based upon their performance in class. Students will be asked to prepare a section from a piece of music at the beginning of the week. Students will then perform this section by themselves. This can come from their method book, scales, or any other thing we may be playing in class.
  • All performances throughout the year will be counted as a test grade.
  • Summative and Formative assessments will be given throughout the year in forms of written tests, sightreading, playing tests, and performances.
