Mu Alpha Theta is a national math honors' society.  Our chapter here at Lowndes High School has two components:  the club (which focuses on community service) and the team (which focuses on competing against other math teams locally and throughout the state).

Our club meets approximately once a month (dates and times to be determined).  Our team meets after school each Friday from 3:00-4:00.

In order to be a member of the national organization, students must maintain a 3.5 GPA in mathematics, and 3.0 GPA overall, and complete at least two high school math courses.  Freshman and sophomores can be honorary members, and they may participate in all activities of our chapter.  Students will be formally inducted their junior year.
