What Is FFA?
FFA operates on the local, state, and national level.  Georgia's FFA program was founded in 1929. Today there are over 37,000 FFA members in the state of Georgia and we rank 3rd among the other states in FFA membership. That's a lot of blue corduroy jackets!

FFA provides students with various opportunities to grow. Students can participate in Career Development Events that range from public speaking to livestock evaluation and from wildlife management to floral design.

(Note: some of the CDEs are for high school students only. Middle School student can compete in any junior event)

Do you enjoy science fairs? Then you'll love competing in our Agriscience Fair! Students have the opportunity to design their own agriculturally related science experiment and test it.

CDE Teams and Individual Events
FFA Events are either team events, usually made up of 4 students, or individual events where one student competes. If there are more students who are interested in competing than slots available, we will hold a local CDE to determine which students will participate in the area CDE. All students interested will be expected to attend practices. The local CDE will be held one week prior to the area event.

Students can also show livestock like cattle, hogs, goats, or rabbites through FFA. If you would like to know more about showing livestock stop by Ms. Bennett's room or send her an Email!

Students also have the opportunity to attend Summer Leadership Camp, State Convention, South Region Rally, and many more events!
