Meet the Teacher

Hello, I am Dr. Terri Nichele Hundley. I was born and raised in the great azalea city of Valdosta, Georgia.  I am a 1994 graduate of The Valdosta High School, the winningest football team in the nation.  With that being said, I must say Go, CATS Go! I also attended Georgia Christian School in Dasher, Georgia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education (Middle Grades) from Valdosta State University (VSU) in December 1998.  I received my Master of Science in Education (Middle Grades) from VSU in May 2002.  In October 2003, I received my Education Specialist in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration from Nova Southeastern University (NSU).  My Doctorate of Education was also received from NSU in Organizational Leadership in July 2006. I received my certification in Educational Leadership from Albany State University. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 language arts/reading, science, and social studies. I am also certified to teach Gifted Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I have been teaching for 18 years. I taught one year at Hahira Middle School and the remaining years have been at Lowndes Middle School. This year I am honored to represent Lowndes Middle School as the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year.
I am the proud mother of Tauren Paisley (deceased) and a cocker spaniel named Brandie Jean (deceased). I have seven god children: JaKhary (deceased), Jayanie, Tyrese, Charlie, Jordyn, Braylyn, and Cayden. I have one fur baby named Ziggy Peyton. I am the daughter of Ted and Carolyn Hundley of Valdosta, Georgia.  I am the third of four children.   In my spare time, I love to shop, travel, watch television, listen to music, and entertain family and friends.  I am a huge fan of Mickey Mouse! I collect elephants and different African art and figurines. My favorite color is purple. I do not like to cook so I eat whatever is prepared by my mother or friends.  Some of my favorites include: lasagna, chicken (fried, grilled, or baked), spaghetti, pizza, crab legs, shrimp, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. I work part time at the Donald Reames Teen Center at the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta.  I am a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ. In 2007, I was inducted as a member of the professional honor society Phi Gamma Sigma.  Last but not least, I am a member of the public service sorority Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated.
