The One-to-World Initiative provides our students access to Chromebooks

Continuing with our promise of preparing our students for tomorrow, today, the Loveland City School District is proud to provide our students with access to technology that accelerates student learning and increases additional opportunities for student growth and innovation.

Supporting Tiger Growth, Innovation and Care
Supporting the goals of our district and in line with Destination Loveland, the Tiger One-to-World Initiative will provide the opportunity for all of our students in grades 7-12 at Loveland High School and Loveland Middle School to obtain a dedicated Chromebook from the school district.

Details of the Tiger One-to-World Initiative
1) Families pay an $80/year annual technology fee for use of a district Chromebook (default option). After the 2016-2017 initial deployment, currently, only incoming 7th grade students and students new to Loveland are able to receive a new Chromebook.

After three years, ownership of device transfer to family. Cost of the fee includes:
  • A 4GB touchscreen Chromebook
  • Protective case with Loveland logo
  • Google management license

2) Students may choose to bring their own device (BYOD).
This device must meet general device requirements, and device will be registered through the school. Smart phones are not considered to be an approved student device.

3) Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch will be provided a Chromebook at no cost.
Benefits of the district Chromebook option include Loveland provided break/fix support and maintenance, while also providing loaner devices if maintenance on the device is required.

By default, all students will be enrolled in the district Chromebook option and be assigned a Chromebook. If families wish for their student to bring their own device (BYOD).

Families who are enrolled in the lease-to-own program for the current school year will continue to be enrolled in the program unless otherwise noted. More information to come on this process later on this spring.

Please refer to our Tiger One-to-World FAQ’s for more information regarding each of the topics above, as well as information that pertains to other aspects of the program.
