The purpose of the Loveland Professional Learning Series is to provide teachers, administrators and all Loveland City School District staff the opportunity to learn, share and create in a collaborative and risk free environment, which supports our capacity to grow as educators.

  • Innovator's Mindset Book Study Challenge Announced for Winter/Spring 2017 Starting on February 6th and running through May 19th, the Innovator’s Mindset Book Study Challenge is a job-embedded learning opportunity for teachers and learners to engage, collaborate and explore the innovator’s mindset, as described through the book Innovator’s Mindset, by George Couros. During this course, learners will complete challenges that integrate ideas around the innovator’s mindset into the classroom and professional practice, while collaborating and sharing with colleagues inside (and, potentially, outside) of the Loveland City School District.   • Loveland Summer Learning Series June 6th-10th We are very excited to be introducing our inaugural Summer Learning Series taking place across the district this June 6th-10th. We would love to start the summer off learning with all of you, and this voluntary professional learning opportunity is open to all Loveland teachers and staff. With the purpose of providing teachers an opportunity to engage in learning and collaboration alongside their colleagues, the Loveland Summer Learning Series will offer morning and afternoon workshops for teachers across all content areas and grade levels. Where Curriculum Meets Instruction
In line with the goals of the Loveland City School District instructional cycle and plan, the Loveland Professional Learning Series will provide opportunities for district faculty and staff to grow and develop through a variety of personalized course and training offerings focusing on different areas of curriculum and instruction.

Our Promise
With the Loveland Professional Learning Series, we promise to provide professional learning opportunities that meet the following standards:
  • All learning series events will be directly aligned to district and building goals.
  • With the course offerings made available, district faculty and staff will have plenty of opportunities to select courses that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Course offerings will be tailored to meet a wide variety of content areas, grade levels and prior knowledge.
  • By providing differentiated tracks and pathways for learning, teachers, administrators, and district staff will be provided guidance to help them reach their professional learning goals.
  • All learning series course offerings will be determined and aligned with the district instructional cycle, helping to meet the needs inherent in the curriculum and instructional cycle process. 
  • Model the educational experience that we wish to provide our students.
