How can I find out how my student is doing in Mr. G's class? With X2 you can check your student's progress anytime.  I update my grades every Friday afternoon. What if my child is struggling in math??  I am available before school and after school.  I am at the high school by about 6:45 am and I usually leave around 3 pm.  The high school also has a math lab that runs every period of the day.  During a free period a student may go to the math lab (next to main office) and receive extra instruction from the math teacher in that room for the period. Are there any websites to help my child outside of school? Yes, there are and here are a few sites that I would recommend and are also FREE.   www.brightstorm.com/ (This website offers video tutorials on subjects.  Once you join, (it is free to join), you will have unlimited access to their library of videos.  These videos also offer step -by -step instruction) www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/col_algebra/index.htm  (This page may say for college students, but I find that this site has a lot of information and step-by-step instruction on how to solve problems) www.coolmath.com/algebra/algebra-practice-polynomials.html  (another good site and a little more cheerful) www.sparknotes.com/math/  (For us older people, if you remember cliff notes for English class?  Well now, cliff notes are now spark notes, and they also offer more than just English help.) www.freemathhelp.com/math-lessons.html  (another great site for step - by -step instruction) www.purplemath.com/modules/index.htm  (another great site for step - by -step instruction) www.khanacademy.org/  This site is another video site from Khan Academy.  Khan Academy was recently featured on 60 Minutes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGJrH49Z2ZA This site has a lot of funny raps and ways to solve math equations. www.youtube.com/channel/UCkMpsbii0UgXM0clNzpmpzg  This is my own YouTube channel with math help  www.youtube.com/user/McmahonMath This is Ms. McMahon’s YouTube channel with great videos    If you come across anymore math websites that are free, please let me know and I will add them to my list.
