Sharps Safety

· Be CAREFUL!

· Cut away from you

· Use a cutting board… Never cut across fingers

· If cut or punctured… Tell teacher

Glassware Safety

· Never use with chips or cracks

· Make sure it is clean

· Do Not place directly on heat

· Use tongs or pads if hot

Fire Safety

· Never reach across a flame

· Keep loose clothing and hair tied back

· Keep area neat and free from hazards

· Always turn off fire or heat before leaving

Container Safety

· Keep lids on when not using

· NEVER heat a closed container

· Open containers away from you

2. Check for frays or shorts

3. Don’t overload plug-ins
