About Me

Welcome to Mr. Swanke's webpage. I am currently the 8th grade math teacher at Lockwood Middle School. I have a passion for teaching and inspiring students each and every day. I see every student as a individual who has the ability to succeed and move on to do great things in the world.

Teaching at Lockwood is a blessing for me. I once was a proud lion as a student and now I can continue that the great experience Lockwood offers through teaching. After Lockwood I attended school at Senior High where I graduated with high honors and National Honor Society honors. I continued my education at MSU-B where I earned Cum Laude honors and my bachelors degree in Mathematics and Health and Human performance with a teaching option. In the spring of 2015 I finished my masters in Education Leadership which one day will allow me to continue my passion for education as a principal.

Along with teaching, I coach softball and track. I am the current Athletic Director for the Lockwood School District. I have a passion for sports and athletics. I have played and been involved with sports since I could walk. I am very proud of the fact that I played Legion baseball for the Billings Royals. Baseball is my true passion when it comes to sports. I am a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Along with baseball, I played football for the Senior High Broncs.

Sports is just one way that I enjoy spending my free time. I am also a huge outdoor enthusiast. During the hunting season, you can usually find me trekking over miles of ground looking for that one special animal. I also enjoying spending anytime that I can on the river trying to catch the one that always seems to get away. During the summers I enjoy spending time hiking, camping, fishing and just doing anything we can outside enjoying the wonderful Montana weather. I also work construction during the summer and love the time outside with my brother and father.
