Conference  - 7th period (2:40pm - 3:30pm)

My name is Melissa Hardaway.  I am the UIL speech and debate coach, UIL Academic Co-Coordinator, and the Student Council co- Sponsor at Lockhart High School. This is my 11th year teaching (9th year at Lockhart High School) and I can't imagine myself with any other career! I can't wait to start every new year with this great group of co-workers and students.

I am originally from Louisiana. I received my Bachelor's degree in Speech Education from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.  I taught for two years in Shreveport and then I received my Master's degree in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

This school year I will be teaching Creative Writing, Psychology (Fall), Classical Films (Spring),  and Debate I, II, and III.

All course materials will be available on Google Classroom.  Here are the codes for each class:

Creative Writing: k9q1i1c

Psychology: xypn1n8

Debate: xqkivh

Please check out my weekly Newsletter to see what we are doing in class each week!

I look forward to meeting all of my students and their parents!  Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions or comments.
