Welcome to my home page!

I've been here at the junior high since it opened it 2000. I am teaching just two classes this year;  Principals of Hospitality and Tourism and Career Portals.    Career Portals is designed to be the doorway to your future.  How many times have you wondered what you would be when you grow up?  Well with Portals, you will explore lots of fun topics and then learn about jobs that relate.   Principals of Hospitality and Tourism (or HoT for short) is a High School Credit class.  In this class, the students will learn about careers in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

I graduated from SWTSU in 1989 with a BS in Vocational Home Economics Education. I taught at Oakwood High School for one year. I worked for the WIC Program in Caldwell, Hays, Comal, Kerr, Bastrop, and Guadalupe Counties from 1989 to 1997.

I am fairly well known around Lockhart as the Cake Lady. I've been baking and decorating cakes since I was 16 years old. I am telling you this to encourage you to find and pursue your interests. You are never too young to begin.  You are never too old to improve either.  I try every time to make each cake better than the one before.   I also love crafting and textile arts.

I have a great husband, two wonderful daughters, four step-daughters, lots of gorgeous grandkids, and too many animals to count. I love my students.  I love my job. And I LOVE Lockhart.
