"Hey, do I know you?"

Yes, you might know me since I began my teaching career at Lockhart Junior High. I may have taught you in English, Yearbook, Technology Applications, TAG, or coached you in basketball.

However, I am so lucky and happy to have the opportunity to share with you my passion for English grammar, literature, and writing at the high school level. I have been teaching for 10 years, and this will be my fourth year at Lockhart High School. I also coach track.

I am looking forward to this year with optimism, enthusiasm, and a clear focus. I want you to study and begin to master the reading, writing, and language skills you will need to pursue English IV, a college degree, or a career after high school. I attended Texas State University in San Marcos where I earned a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, Mass Communication and Public Relations. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

I am a life-long resident of Lockhart who grew up in a teaching family. My mom or my aunt probably taught your parents! I have been married for 6 years and have two daughters named Evalyn and Jordynn. We are also parents to our giant dog, Jetta Knight, a St. Bernard mix, who weighs more than 150 pounds! I am a Harry Potter fanatic, a Whovian, and love reading new and exciting literature, so please share with me what you are reading!
