I am very excited to be starting my 7th year at Lockhart High School.

For the past six years I have taught at the Freshman Campus and LHS. It is nice to be on just one campus, and I proud to work at the newly completed high school.

I am originally from California. I graduated from Dana Hills High School in 1998. After High School, I went to Saddleback Junior College and later transferred to California State University of Long Beach, where I graduated with a Bachelors or Art in Art Education. I was also part of a delegation of Art Educators who went on a service learning trip to Cambodia. The trip changed my life. After that I wanted to see the world, so I taught English in Cambodia, Japan and South Korea. I also have traveled through much of South East Asia and Central America.

When I returned to the US, I lived in Kansas City for 2 years. I decided to move to Austin because there were more teaching opportunities in Texas.

I substitute taught in Austin ISD before being hired in Lockhart ISD. I have taught mostly ESL, but I have also taught English I and US History.

In the last two years I have gotten more involved in extra curricular activities. I sponsor the Key Club and  coach UIL Current Events. I am also the voice of the Lockhart High School soccer and this year I am starting to Coach Track and Field.

Since I have gotten more involved in the community I finally decided to move to Lockhart this summer, and I love living here.

I have a three year old daughter.

In my free time I like playing board games, practicing Spanish and running.

Go Lions!
