Until I was thirteen, I lived in various towns in both Arkansas (where I was born) and Texas. When I was thirteen, my family moved to Casper, Wyoming. I graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming in 1987. I participated in Cross county Track, Basketball, Theater, Choir, Student Council and National Honor Society. I loved my high school experience and want to pass that on to the students in my classroom. I think it is so important for students to be involved!

I received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology in 1991 from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. 1992-2002 I worked in Clinical Laboratories as a registered Medical Technologist through the Association of Clinical Pathologists. MT(ASCP) In May of this year, I received my Master's of Education degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have been a teacher at Lockhart High School since 2004.

I have been married for 26 years and have three children. My oldest daughter Bethany is a graduate of Howard Payne University and of Lockhart High School (2009). My son Josiah is a Lockhart High School graduate (2013) and is a Senior at Howard Payne University majoring in Music. My youngest daughter Gloria enlisted in the US Army after graduating from Lockhart High School in 2016. She will be serving as an Airborne Medic.

Oh, I can't forget the newest addition to the family!! I have a granddaughter who is 3 and she is wonderful!
