Vintage Gibson Melody Makers

These two wonderful Guitars are being offered for a short time by Dr.G.

The 1961 was purchased for the first time by Dr.G sometime in the early 70’s. It
had been in the window of a local music store since it was new! I bought it for the huge price of $160.00. During the time I owned it I had changed the original tuners to Grover’s. I know, big mistake but not as bad as selling it for $100.00 in the early 80’s. It has only changed hands twice since and is in as good shape as when it left mine.

The other one I estimate to be a 65 or 66 (Try to decipher Gibson serial #’s sometime).

Double cut away SG style body original tremolo bridge is gone (saw one on E-Bay for less than $60.00) and the finish has seen better days but it is an excellent player.

The 61 is priced at $2,000.00 and the later one is priced at $1,500.00

Both come with good hard shell cases.

All you have to do is play one of these to understand the difference between a good guitar and a name brand guitar. Price!

All too often I get one of those famous name brand guitars in my shop many recent purchases on line or from the big stores and they seem to have been rushed through and in bad need of a detailed set up.

When you buy a guitar from Dr. G you know you’re getting a guitar that is set to play its best.

This is an almost exact copy of CF somebody’s guitar and plays and sounds as good as or better than most of them that I have encountered..

$350.00 SOLD!

The guitar is nearly flawless and comes with a hard shell case.  See 3 more photos below.
