Food and Exercise Science

Welcome Food and Exercise Science students.  If you're on this page, I assume you're looking for extra help, review, or to catch up on something you missed.  Hopefully, you will find what you're looking for.  If not, please contact me and I'll do what I can to answer any questions you may have.

Lastly, I do my best to connect with students outside of class to keep them updated on what's going on in class using a cool tool called Remind.  I use this tool (which is also an app if you'd like to download it...there's way more functionality on the app, I promise) to share our weekly agenda, to send our important reminders, conduct class polls, and perhaps most importantly, as a way for you to communicate with me outside of class if you have any questions or concerns about whatever it is we're learning about.

To join our Remind group, please text @lcfoodsci to 81010. I also highly encourage your parents to join so they can stay up-to-date on what's going on.

Course Content

Using the links provided below, complete this data sheet and goal setting form to reflect on your overall health.  The idea is to gather baseline data at the start of the class and see if you can make some real, positive steps in the right direction by the end of the term.
  1. Fitness Assessment
  2. Dietary Assessment

Presentation Resources

Unlike in my other courses, there are no "current events" per se.  Instead, you are tasked to complete two presentations.  The first is on a Superfood of your choice and for the second, you'll need to research and demonstrate an exercise routine for the class.  Click here for rubrics and helpful resources!
